OpenAI To Offer Content From 'Le Monde' And Prisa Media In ChatGPT
OpenAI has formed partnerships with Le Monde and Prisa Media, opening the door for French- and Spanish-language content in ChatGPT.
The goal is to “enable ChatGPT users around the world to connect with the news in new ways that are interactive and insightful,” says Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI.
The arrangement will enable Le Monde, now celebrating its 80th anniversary, to “expand our reach and uphold our commitment to providing accurate, verified, balanced news stories at scale,” says Louis Dreyfus, CEO of Le Monde.
Le Monde claims it has more than 600,000 subscribers and 2.2 million unique users a day, while generating over 632 million page views per month.
For Prisa Media, this represents a “new chapter in our digital journey, where we are continuously improving our position as the largest Hispanic media house, operating the leading media brands in our core markets: Spain, Latam and USA,” says Carlos Nuñez, chairman and CEO of Prisa Media.
Nuñez adds, “We have developed a reach of more than 7 million daily unique users with over 1,650 million page views per month and a clear focus on developing content in digital formats beyond text, both in audio, where we provide 90 million total listening hours and 51 million audio downloads per month, and in video, with more than 141 million monthly video views.”
